After scouring the internet I found a solution for my computer's inability to update the Security Update for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3 (KB970892) (Update failed).  Click Start, Run, type "regedit" Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\Setup Double-click on Resume, change the number from 1 to 0 (zero).
